We have discovered a new account Phishing scam.
It's offering 5 days of free activation. It gives you a link that shows "eveonline.com" but is hyper linked to a different address.
DO NOT click on it.
If you have any question of any link in any email right click it and copy it. Paste it into note pad to reveal the actual web address. It will show you the link's actual destination. If it doesn't look legitimate do not click on it.
In this case the web link has eve-online in the address portion then has .zxq.net instead of .com. It also has an extension that "copies" eveonline.com at the end of it to catch the images.

A new email is circulating around that looks very official. It uses EVE Online images and copies our formatting of past reactivation emails. There are a lot of grammatical errors in this email.
The exact text:
Over 20,000 players have reactivated accounts and returned to EVE Online. We're hoping you join them! Your characters are just as you left them, ready to take the challenges of all the new content that has been added since you were last here. Every account that is reacitvated through this promotion will be eligible for reduced subscription price of 5.95$ for the first month after the five-day period ends.

This attempt has been brought to our attention recently. The "link to the dev blog" brings you to an account log in page. Don't click it.
Quote: It goes something as follows:
Win Big Prizes with Eve Online Lottery !
Are you tired with all lotteries which offer you to earn ships you can't fly ?
Do you want to simpl y win ships you can fly?
EVE Online organizes first lottery and invites you to win one of over one hundred prizes.
Here is your chance to win one of over one hundred prizes.
Visit our Dev blog for details.
First Prize is an racial Titan of your choise with best ingame fittings. Second Prize is an racial Titan of your choise with standard fittings. Third Prize is an racial Supercarrier of your choise with best ingame fittings.
Visit Eve Online for complete prizes and details!
*Good Luck to all participants!
It looks very official, and the dev blog link takes you to log-in to your account.
A trance reveals that it appears to originate from the Comcast network..

Another phishing attempt that's similar to the other character trasnfer.
Quote: "You have chosen to transfer your character to the account named xxxxxxxx.
We are currently processing this transfer. The character you are transferring will remain on your account, but will not be playable until the transfer automatically completes.
If you did not initiate this character transfer, please file a petition to Customer Support.
If you have any questions, you may browse the EVE Knowledgebase or email [email protected] and one of our customer support representatives will be happy to assist you."
Now initially I found it odd that a few of us not wanting to transfer characters recieved this email on the same day. So naturally I linked the link to create a petition to stop this transfer.
Once I do I get this message - "Reported Web Forgery blah blah blah." My computer just saved my ass in other words.
So my warning to you is this. If you recieve this email create a petition in game. Do not follow any links ect....
